Morinville – Four seniors lodge managers found themselves out of work at the end of April as part of an organizational renewal taking place within the Sturgeon Foundation, a seniors housing organization that operates facilities and housing units in St. Albert, Morinville, Legal, Gibbons, Bon Accord and Redwater.

Council reallocates funds to pay for Civic Plaza project

Morinville – Council held its nose and voted 5-1 in favour of reallocating grant monies to pay for the Civic Place renovations now estimated at $4.2 million. Council had hit the roof Feb. 28 when representatives from ONPA Architects and Synergy Projects Ltd. delivered the news project costs had escalated but would not exceed $4 million. A month and a half later and Synergy still believes the project will be $4 million project or less; however, ONPA Architects’ fees will increase that number by approximately $171,000… […]

Sturgeon County – The County recognized its many volunteers at the Villeneuve Community Hall Tuesday night. For the first time the County presented an individual Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award.
