Cars and Guitars
The Morinville Redliners partnered with Smith Music for the second annual Cars and Guitars event Saturday night. The evening included a mis of vintage automobiles, live music and food.

A Show and Shine took place at A&W Thursday night. It’s on every Thursday until the end of October from 6 pm until 8 pm. Morinville Redliners and friends have some great cars.
On Tuesday night Lloyd Kenney of LegalShield and Identity Theft Shield made a presentation at Heritage Lodge on Identity Theft, Frauds and Scams and the myths and realities of Identity Theft.
On Tuesday Cole Dribnenky donated blood for the 4th time. The Morinville Blood Donor Clinic was held at the Rendez-Vous Centre, 9913-104 St. from 2:30- 7:30 pm. The next scheduled clinics are from 3:30 -7:30 pm onTuesday 6 December,Tuesday 31 January 2017 and Tuesday 28 March 2017.
Rotary members Roseanne and Wally Sczebel celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 11 with more than 300 in attendance at the event held in Jarvie.
Morinville Rotary Club inducted five new members on Wednesday morning.
The Club welcomed Noreen Radford, Patrick Tighe, Malinda Northcott, Paula Crowley and Jayson Wood.
A gift from abroad
On Sept. 12, the Town of Morinville had the Terracotta Warrior originally unveiled at this spring’s Trade Show, placed in the entrance of the Morinville Civic Hall.
The warrior was a gift to the Morinville & District Chamber of Commerce and Manager Diane Mineault by Leo Lui, President of Citslinc China Tours, for the Chamber’s work and dedication towards the Chamber’s annual China Tours.
The warrior was donated to the Town of Morinville by the Chamber in memory of Chamber Director Keith Norris.
