Legal – Monday’s by-election has resulted in Carol Tremblay and Ron Sharma being elected from a ballot of eight candidates. Trembley took the majority of votes with 115 cast in her favour. Close behind was Sharma with 109.

Morinville – Council was given the final price tag on the St. Germain Place renovations at the Nov. 27 meeting of Morinville Town Council. Construction costs, architectural and management fees, and other indirect costs totalled $4,222,647,26. That amount is $687,647,26 more than had been approved prior to Apr. 24 when Council agreed to increase funding for the project to $4.2 million… […]

Morinville – A leaner 2013 budget passed second reading Nov. 27. After more than two hours of discussion and debate that shaved $300,000 off the $14.6 million budget, Council voted unanimously for second reading. Council will have at least two weeks to ponder further cuts before giving the document third and final reading.
