Morinville, Alberta – In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 19, 2017, an unknown male entered an apartment complex in Morinville. Video surveillance showed a male enter the building using a screw driver or similar tool. Once inside, the male proceeded to the parking garage where he checked the doors to numerous vehicles. The male then went upstairs to the workout room where he took a kettle ball weight and then left the premises.

Council has passed a slew of changes to their photo radar policy, something that has become a semiannual occurrence in Morinville. The changes, which also impact an upcoming Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Town’s photo radar contractor (ITS/Global Traffic Group), mostly are intended to give both the Town/Council and the RCMP more power to dictate day-to-day photo radar operations in Town.
