In the early morning of Feb. 19th, two males driving an older model GMC truck extended cab entered a property on Range Road 250 near Sturgeon Road and stole fuel, a Chevrolet truck and a yellow flatbed trailer. I am a supporter of any enforcement initiatives that make our communities safer. I feel the public has been kept in the dark by our provincially elected officials relating to why we only see photo radar in municipalities versus rural Alberta. Alberta municipalities saw reductions in provincial funding in the late nineties. The province developed the Automated Traffic Enforcement Guidelines to allow municipalities to generate additional revenue within the boundaries of the municipalities… […]

Weatherly off to Nationals once again

Jessica Weatherly of Morinville will once again be one of the youth dart players to represent Alberta at the Nationals. Weatherly competed in the 2014 Dart Alberta Youth Provincial Championships held Saturday and Sunday Feb. 22 and 23 at the Moose Lodge in Edmonton. She placed first in Senior Darts and will be a member of the Alberta Youth Team at the 2014 Youth National Championships to be held in Halifax in May… […]
