Town gets presentation from ISP looking to develop fibre in Morinville

The Town of Morinville may be getting a high-tech upgrade to its network infrastructure following a presentation to council from Axia, an Albertan rural Internet service provider. The company develops fibre infrastructure in small communities across the province. The government says the Alberta Child Benefit will make life more affordable for 130,000 families caring for 235,000 children in Alberta.

May begins with the sounds of seniors singing

A half dozen seniors choirs from across the province will gather in Morinville May 5 for the 38th Annual Seniors Choral Festival. The afternoon of song, hosted by the Morinville Minstrels, will take place at St. Jean Baptiste Church at 1 p.m. and is open to everyone in and out of the community.
