RCMP planning Aboriginal career presentation

Edmonton – The RCMP are looking to increase the number of Aboriginal members in their ranks to better represent the communities they police across the country. In 2013, 7.9 per cent of RCMP officers self identified as Aboriginal. New GiveBlood App makes saving lives even easier

Morinville – Canadian Blood Services (CBS) has gone digital in its goal to make giving blood easier. The organization recently launched their new GiveBlood application, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app lets would-be donors find, book and schedule a blood donation appointment in their calendar and to share that information with friends on social media. Additionally, the app tracks the number of donations the donor has made, and provides information on donor eligibility and other information. CBS sees the app as a first step to make it easier for donors to interact with the organization online.,, […]

Morinville Community High School sent two competitors to this year’s Skills Alberta competition held May 14 and 15 in Edmonton. The annual competition pits the province’s best students in a number of trades and skills against one another in a two-day competition. Alyson Benson is competing for the third time in the Graphic Design category and Samantha Ringuette will represent the school in Photography for the second time.
