I would like to thank those on Council who supported this session, Mr. Norton, ITS and Mr. [David]Schaefer for the presentation of technology utilized and available for traffic enforcement. It was instructive and helpful to be able to see and touch the equipment and have questions answered by all parties available last night. Lions gather to share funds and appreciation

The Morinville Lions Club held their first meeting for the new fiscal year Sept. 14 with a cheque presentation and recognition of club members. Proceeds from the 9th Annual Lions Golf Tournament were divided between the Alberta Cancer Foundation and Camp He Ho Ha, with each group receiving $1600. Block Parent program in danger of folding

The Morinville Block Parent Association is at risk of folding if a new executive cannot be found by Oct. 5. In a press release issued Sept. 15, the current board of directors announced the program will close in Morinville Oct. 15.

“There have been many attempts to improve the number of Block Parent homes in Morinville over the years and to gain awareness and interest in the program,” said the Board’s Chair Tanya Sloan. “Unfortunately, there are currently less than 20 and that number continues to decline.” […]
