Alberta lays out phased-in reopening strategy

The Government of Alberta says a phased relaunch will put Albertans’ safety first as the province gradually reopens closed businesses and services to get people back to work. Among the relaunch opportunities is the allowing vehicle access to parking lots and staging areas in parks, some boat launches on May 1st, and the opening of golf courses on May 4 with clubhouses and pro shops closed. I was at the Skate Park earlier today [Wednesday] and saw someone put up a fence around the skate park. Thank you Town Council for enforcing the decision that was made during Council meeting I think around the 15th; solves a lot of confusion people had about the park.

NDP says Cargill meat plant reopening does not have worker support

The Cargill meat processing plant in High River will reopen on Monday, although nearly 16 per cent of the province’s COVID-19 cases to date are associated with the plant’s workers. As of Wednesday, 821 of the province’s 5165 cases were workers at the Cargill plant, and another 276 cases are among workers and contractors at the JBS plant in Brooks.
